Vice President – Special Events & Sponsorship

The Alexander City Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated, organized and community-minded professional to join our team as Vice President – Special Events & Sponsorship.

This position will lead the Chamber’s special events and sponsorship initiatives while working closely with the President & CEO and Vice President of Marketing & Membership. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable building relationships, and excited to work with Chamber members, volunteers and community partners.

Job Description: This position serves as the Vice President of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce with direct responsibility for special events and program/event sponsorship. The position reports directly to the President & CEO and works closely and collaboratively with the Vice President of Marketing & Membership. The position will plan, oversee, and direct all special events event for the Chamber and its programs, including budgeting, vendor relations, event location selection, design and decorating, volunteer recruitment, setup and breakdown and other needs as determined. The position will also manage the Chamber’s Total Resource Campaign to develop and sale event and program sponsorships to Chamber members. Management and oversight of TRC includes program operation, volunteer recruitment, training and support, sponsor relations such as pre-event/program communication, post-event/program follow up, new sponsorship development and other TRC responsibilities as needed.
