One of the many exciting groups the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce sponsors is our Junior Ambassador program. Our goal is to create interest in service to the community by offering Benjamin Russell High School and Horseshoe Bend High School students the opportunity to become involved with Chamber activities, and learn about the business community. In addition to being involved in community service oriented projects, these young people also participate in a wide range of chamber events including: Holiday Open House, Hometown Christmas Parade, Professional Development Summit, governmental affairs luncheons, and various activities designed to promote Alexander City and the Lake Martin area.
Applicants for the Junior Ambassador program must maintain a cumulative scholastic average of 80, compose an essay, go through a formal interview process and be free of parental or marital obligations to be considered for the program. Interviews are held in the Spring prior to graduation and announcements will be made with all of the necessary details. All students going into the 10th and 11th grades, who meet the above qualifications, are encouraged to apply.
We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication our Junior Ambassadors give to the Chamber of Commerce! To be part of the Chamber’s Junior Ambassador program, please contact Carla Culligan at firstname.lastname@example.org or reach her by phone at 256-234-3461.
